Whether the focus is current production or future operational planning, our suite assures highly informed decision-making using advanced mathematical techniques.

  • The Strategic Planning Engine helps plan capacity utilization for a long-term monthly horizon. It identifies how much of the demand can be met and when, what the storage requirements are, how the resources are being utilized and other strategic questions. This engine is typically used for Advanced Capacity Planning for yearly budgets; Sales and Operations plan verification, and scenario-based analysis to evaluate changes to infrastructure, demand patterns, and asset footprint.
  • The Capacity Planning Engine helps plan for production targets on a weekly basis and identify capacity bottlenecks affecting demand due dates. It flexes the monthly demand plan over the weekly demand bucket according to available capacity. This engine is typically used for Master Production Scheduling, near-term evaluation of impacts for urgent customer orders, as well as downtime and maintenance schedules. This plan is also used by Sales and Operations Management to track plan compliance.
  • The Operations Sequencing Engine, also known as the Finite Scheduling engine, helps sequence operations for resources in a multi-stage production system to meet a variety of business criteria such as meeting due date and, minimizing changeovers. The engine can be used to plan and re-plan operation sequences over a desired length of time. The engine explicitly considers resource availability, downtimes, holiday schedules, and other factors in optimizing the sequence of operations.
